Can anyone perhaps assist me with the correct paint code for an Austin Mini 1965 MK1 (Bullnose) - I'm in South Africa and we're in the process of restoring the girl to what she would have looked like when she left the factory.

I'm unable to get the correct history of the vehicle.

From what I could read up it was possibly Old English White Body and Tweed Grey Roof with Red and grey interior.

This is a great reference book in link below for anything about South African Minis.

South Africa Minis,The book by Ryno Verster:-

The Old English White Body and Tweed Grey Roof colour combination was the other way around on UK Mini Coopers.

ie. In UK it was a Tweed Grey Body and Old English White Roof.

The paint codes for Minis are listed here:-

http://mini-colours.co.uk/

Old English White

Seems to have more than one paint code listed.

Note: BMW MINI 'Pepper White' is almost identical to BMC 'Old English White' but is often easier to source from modern car paint suppliers.

Tweed Grey

GR4

Alternatively if you can take the car (or an unfaded panel with samples of the original factory colours) to a supplier or paintshop with a spectrophotometer, they can scan the colour composition and based on this measurement, they can mix the exact colour formula needed to ensure the new paint matches the scanned samples perfectly.
