good show but PLEASE no more loudest exhaust. dogs welcome so took mine loudest exhaust happens dog terrified and would not move no more show and an early trip home. People will no doubt give me bad comments for this, not a grumpy old fart just a caring dog owner

I'm 100% with you, I've seen people having to go home with small children and dogs. It's not exactly a sonorous V12 that's being revved, I don't want to hear to loudest 4 pot sewing machine. Even worse at more modern shows with pop and bang maps.

First reports on Facebook are saying as good as a heritage shell e coated approx £8k

 

So how does officially selling & importing these Chinese 'copy' Mini shells to the UK work without official 'British Motor Heritage' & 'BMW Mini' licensing, etc? While remembering how BMW lawyers took strong legal action against any unlicensed aftermarket classic Mini companies trading back in the early 2000's.

Some may remember BMW previously went after 'Hawk Cars' back in 1997 regarding Hawk's Minisprint fibreglass bodyshells....

it was the cracking on overrun that did it, same reason we bugger off to country in camper on Bonfire night. At mini runs no problem at all

Was the loudest exhaust for both classic and modern Minis? I would imagine modern MINI's with 'pop and bang maps' etc make the most noise for causing terror in dogs?

 

I know it is often a feature of 'modern car' shows but personally, dogs or no dogs, I hope 'loudest exhaust' never becomes a part of the Beaulieu Mini Show....
I am not a dog owner but do understand as I occasionally look after a dog for a family friend and recently while taking it out on a walk, a very loud motorbike passed nearby and the dog froze on the pavement and refused to move any further in any direction, even when the exhaust noise had long gone. Also it's not a small dog which you can just pick up and carry!
