I'm new to the forum, but had been a Mini owner maybe long before many of you were born, the first Mini I bought was a green 1965 registered Austin Mini 850 I bought in 1973, I can't remember what I had for tea yesterday but still remember the Mini's reg, HPE 661C (53 years ago)
I kept that Mini for a couple of years and when the sills went rusty and needed major welding it was time to replace it, I replaced it with a Morris Mini 850 that was G reg, the updated one with the new square looking rear lights and the new front grill, the gear leaver in the centre between the front seats and not coming out of the front near the steering column, same old sliding windows though, I truly loved that Mini and ended up giving it to my then girlfriend and bought myself a Ford Capri 1978,
followed by in order of purchase and overlapping ownership
VW Scirocco 1982-1988,
Volvo 345 1988-1993,
BMW x2 1992 - 1995- 1995-2002,
(my last Mini) A reg 1984 Mini Mayfair I bought in 1992-1995,
Mercedes A class new 2002-2004,
MG TF 2004 new (still own),
Toyota MR2 Roadster 2005 new (still own),
Lotus Elise 2010 (still own),
Fiesta Zetec 2014 (still own)
and my last car a Fiesta 1.2 Zetec last month, and a few other cars in between, I have images of my first Mini and my second Mini but not sure of the upload procedure
