Hi folks, so currently on my 1981 mini HL project i'm getting the inner sill in and will be looking to fit the door step shortly. I did have a go at actually making a door step after buying a pair from Minispares only to find that they were  shockingly bad! The practice door step I made actually came out not too bad and have learned enough from that to try another, however that takes a fair bit of time. I'm now looking at buying another step replacement panel. I know the Heritage one is a good fit and it has the A-pillar on it as well but a pair of them are a bit pricey, you get what you pay for though! Can anyone recommend another supplier that makes good door step panels?

Mini-Machine below have a good reputation for Mini panels and if you phone or email them, they will usually advise you of the panels original source/supplier, fit, or if it is made 'in house' by themselves, so might be worth contacting them.

Heritage will probably be your best bet.

Its been a while since i bought doorsteps as i had some made by a proper fab shop who was owned and run by a very capable chap who was seriously into mini's. (long retired now)

The last pair i bought were from M Machine  (a long time ago) and they turned out to be Magnum and were shall we say mediocre at best. Now as mentioned if you talk to Doreen she will tell you if they are their own pressings, Magnum or Heritage.
