Hello,
I've learned recently that my '92 Mini needs repeater indicators in the front wings, so I have bought all the necessary fittings to do the job because the wings that were fitted by the previous owner do not have the necessary holes > .
Could someone please tell me
1) Where exactly do I need to make the holes? (Just in case I change the arches in future)
2) What shape and size do they need to be? (At worst I could work it out from the light fittings)
As usual, any help would be appreciated,
spud.

Yea, you can put them wherever you like, even on the A panel (although make sure they conform to MOT rules about being visible from certain angles - MOT manual in FAQ section). You may need to adapt the wiring loom supplied with them if you put them somewhere different to standard.

Make a template outta cardboard. Make sure the side repeaters fit this whole. Then you just gotta position them right.

Thanks for the replies y'all.
The info gives me a good starting point which I will probably go on, however, I am concerned that in future I might fit the wider arches that I've seen somewhere which have a recess at the top of the front arch and it would look a bit daft if I'd put the indicator an inch (25.4mm to you young 'uns) or so too high or to one side!!
Cheers,

I like the focus indicators, especially on clubbies

Could someone please tell me what the measurement is between the top of the front wheel arch and the bottom of the repeater lens - then I can position the hole accordingly?
It would be appreciated, cheers,

I might well still have the bits i chopped out of my old wings.
i have a 93 and wings with no holes in and need to do the same as you.
i chopped a bit out of each side with the wheel lip still on and lined it up and marked it that way.
will look in the shed tomorrow to see if i still have them.
if not i will try and do a templte for you of my wings!!
