Aye.
Like you say, use this head to run it in, save some pennies, and get a nice tunnel ported headwith something like 37in 31ex sized valves
*dribbles*
That's what I'd always planeed to buy off Bill Richards, but I really couldn't afford it so that's why I had a go at this head that I was given for freeeeee.

I've got a Rob Walker head on mine, but I am running twin HS4's...
I've got 22cc Chambers, 35.7in, 31ex valves, fully ported to suit a large bore manifold gasket... tis a very nice head!!
I know, this very head thats going onto my 1380, produced 112bhp, with a 286. 1.5 rockers, on a 45... at the wheels!! So should give me all I need/want maybe more

Furry muff then

Aye what he said...
It replaces the Dizzy, with a fully customable igntion!
Ordered my new box the otherday...
SC TransX Drops
Minispares xpin diff
GT gearset
Really looking forward to it
Also I've agreed to buy a new head...
This has been putting out 112bhp@wheels on a 300* camed 1380... - so should do well on mine
Whaaaaaaaa? Which one is it? 300* or 286?
112 at the wheels with a 286 would be pretty much impossible I'd think. Even with a 300 degree cam it'd be a bit much, taking into account the transmission losses wouldn't it? Was it a force fed one?

On a 286!

Blimey! That's impressive then. Has the powergraph got the torque curve on it too? I wouldn't mind seeing what's acheivable with a 286 to be honest. Some people say they are a really lame cam.

Makes me wonder if i should fit a Webber to my engine that im rebuilding.
Thankies Tom!
It's looking OK under the bonnet actually. Though this will never be an immaculate show car. I want it to be high-spec, but daft as it may sound, I want the car to sort of look, standard, like a 1971 mini should look.

Still to do:-
fix gear linkage in position, using a shorter mounting bobbin that the standard one <----- that's what I need
set up reversing light loom (even though I have no reversing light yet, but I want the option of a spotlight on the bootlid
Finish off the loom bits for the Megajolt and different dash (basically, sort out a bit of soldering)
Sort out my extra switch panel for in the dash
move washer, wiper and start button switches to inbetween the seats
start her up and get the Megajolt tested
Ummmm, then it's the bodywork bits. Only doing a little bit of bodywork, basically, spray the bootlid ,bonnet and doors and get them all fitted.
Then she's back on the road!
Just for mini93, here's the last photos I am EVER going to upload off that phone!!!!!
One of them is the head that I took off the old 1330 FReaK engine, then there's one showing where the FReaK is up to at the moment!
EDIT: Oh yeah, need to finish the exhaust fitting! Got to do that once the gear linkage is 100% sorted, then after doing the exhaust I can mount the sump guard properly.
Oh, and me airhorns need fitting, can't forget the airhorns!
