yeah i'd agree about using the fia one, come to think of it i have got one somewhere from when i used to do grasstracking.

It's easier just to take the HT lead with you. No way is the car going to start without that.

wouldnt trust 1 of them crappy FIA things on my road car
i have to put a new one on my grass track car nearly every year due to it failing. ive found the lucas 1's with the non-removeable key are a bit better though

If you're gonna 'immobilise' your car this method, you best take two leads. You can still start one on three cylinders you know with the other cylinder lead botched onto the coil/dizzy.

i like the FIA battery disconnect, might put one in next week, ive got a clifford alarm/immobiliser as well, works a treat, however ive got mine waaaaay too sensitive, goes off when a car drives by. lol
