it isnt an engine out job to change the clutch in a mini!!

it aint easy tho!!

personally i can remove an engine and chnge the clutch faster than i can change the clutch with the engine in situ!! but i guss that may be down to lack of practise!!

Hi, without removing the engine, it will be tedious, however it is possible! It involved undoing the offside engine mount from the subframe, and also loosening the other one, as I would do.

Then jack up the offside end of the engine. The Haynes manual goes into much more detail however.
Youe biggest problem I think will include getting to the clutch cover retaining bolts, and after the clutch replacement, replacing them!

The actual clutch replacement itself is only made difficut by the removal of the flywheel. Once this is off, the rest is straightforward.

But read the haynes Manual. If anyone tells you this is 3 hoiur job, dont listen to them. Taker your time, as you might find that leaving a whole weekend would be wise!

PM me, and I will give you my number to call. I did a clutch out job on my mini 2 months ago.
