Fitted a stage 1, problems.
Took it down to have timing checked and mixture adjusted, done.
Advance diaphram nackered, replaced.
Mixture altered again, sounds fine, revs perfectly OK.
BUT...
Driving it tonight and im tootling around in 3rd doing about 35, i brake for muppet infront put toe back down gently at bout 25mph andddd FLAT SPOT.
It does it all over the board, where it should just sorta pick up it dies and needs a very light foot (lifting off a bit at a time) to make it do what its told and go again. This is very enoying especially when your trying to pull out of junctions and round people and what-not.
Im really naffed off at the mo cus this stage1 has caused note but problems.
Question 1
Which way do you turn the dizzy to make the timing advance, looking from the front of the motor, clockwise or anti??
Question 2
If im stood on the drivers side of the bonnet and stick my hand under the carb which way makes it leaner or richer? Anticlockwise (towards to bulk) or tuther way?
Question 3
Has anyone got any suggestions for me to sort this bleedin thing out, its a hell of a lot easier for me to fiddle then drive around then fiddle some more!? And please dont say rolling road, well not yet. And how much does it normally cost for a session in your experience?
Cheers,
Nate
