hold on, what do you mean oil filter housing. The only thing that I can think of is the mk1 oil filter things with the paper element.

If I might ask could you divulge more infomation on said part?

Either that or wait for someone smarter than me to come along.

Yep, all auto's have the paper type filter.
Is the housing (by which I guess you mean the canister that holds the paper element) knacked then, as it's only the inside that needs changing?
If so, and our sponsors can't help then fleabay I guess.

[EDIT: This what you're after? ]

No - it's the right angled ally casting that attaches the canister to the gearbox (auto) - the car has had a little front end bump and I've bought it for my wife for xmas - it arrived today and removed the damaged panels - subframe wasn't touched but both the alternator and the oil filter housing were cracked - that pic is similar but mine is bigger (phanaaaar phanaaar, phinbar saunders lives!).

The bolt pushes in and tightens up to keep the oil filter on.

Think he means the thing in between the filter and the engine.

Bob - that's the filter - the other end of the canister is a ally casting (the bolt will screw into it) and this casting is cracked - Stockton eh, I'm originally a Darlington lad but now live on south coast - english riviera ha - been pishing down for weeks now!

If no one sells a replacement auto oil filter head you could buy an old broken engine for spares. Could try eBay, there is a few auto engines on there like Item number: 250059156828 the next question would be if the filter head changed over the years and between the different size engines! It’s an idea.
