Lo,

Can you take the block off while leaving the flywheel bit all attached, just I don't have 1 1/2inch socket to get the bolt off with nor do I own one of them flywheel pullers.

No because there are bolts behind the flywheel which attach to both the block and gearbox!

if its a verto clutch it will be a metric 30 mm bolt i believe.
