I am thinking about running in it. Although I will have to wait until March in order to place my application as I have applies to uiniversity and won't hear if im in till then, if i am then I can't do the run. Do you think that would be leaving it too late? Also how much extra do you find it costs you, fuel, hotels etc?

costs arnt cheap think it cost me about £500 on top of your entry but the times ive gone it was still good value for money

one off the stop overs was in the hotel on the nurburgring start finish straight.£35 anight you could look out your bedroom window/balcony and watch the action on the track, the tely in your room was linked with the track side camaras!
then next day we had two hours use of the grand prix track!!!! great fun

I am thinking of doing this next year... for '08, I very much doubt my Mini will make it for this year

Are Minis reliable enough to make it there and back?

yes most minis make it no probs
the first time i went i took a complete mini as spares with me  and didnt need anything
last time didnt take any spares at all.
just had minor problems, with over 100 minis taking part there is always someone there to help out
if your mini is your daily drive it should be ok, its cars that arnt used very much that are not reliable

Awesome!
I'll be using mine as a daily motor in the summer anyways, otherwise it won't get used lol

I am seriously thinking of doing this, after reading about it in the Minimag, looks like an awesome trip!
Even better if my mate actully finishes his 3 mk1's...
