I thought i had sorted all my electrics back in the summer, it sppears not!!

right here is the problem

indicate right - back indicator stays permanently on and instead of the front indicator going on the front sidelight comes on (with lights off-with lights on it goes off - clubman!)

no interior indicator light for turning right either.
when i put my hazards on all hell breaks loose! the left hand side is fine but the sidelight flashes instead of the indicator! the bulb is fine as i changed it and it made no difference, this makes me think its an earth!

but where is the earth for clubman sidelight/indicators?? or could it be something else???

Try running new earths to the rear light clusters it sounds as tho you have no earth on the rear o/s light. The current will try and seek an earth usualy through the side lights hope that helps if it makes any sence

As Koss says, sounds like an earth leak... unfortunately, can be a right royal pain to find

Just a tip Buy a little test light from a car shop (brass ones £2) take the bulb out of the test light and replace it with a piece of metal, or wrap the bulb in tin foil and replace it. This makes a good earth probe. Clip the croc clip to a nice clean bolt inside the boot area. Then switch your indicator on. With the pointed end of the probe pierce the black wire on to indicator light. IF it starts working correctly, That is the earth to be replaced. If not repeat on the front indicator

PS mind your fingers with the point

so because the front indicator doesnt work at all, it must be the rear lights earth?? doesnt seem to make sense!

when u indicate the rear light stays on but the front light doesnt come on at all, instead the sidelight goes off/goes on (depending on if lights are on)

when u put hazards on the rear indicators work fine, but the front drivers still doesnt come on, instead the sidelight flashes!

but where is the earth for clubman sidelight/indicators?? or could it be something else???

Just follow the black wire from the front indicator back that is your earth

The flasher relay wont flash if you take a bulb out it needs 2 to complete the circuit resistance or load on the flasher relay must be right.
