I'm as my title surgests useless when it comes to things i don't know about mini engines!
My Question if anybody could please help is...... I'm now upgarding my 1380 engine to a 286 cam with 1.5 full roller rockers and i've been told it maybe usefull also to change the drive between the crank and cam upgrading to a duplex adjustable timing set.
I think i know that there is, two options, 1 the chain 2 the belt upgardes(looks like a moden engine belt system)
Does anybody know if either are any good? Should I bother at all?
I use it for drag racing at santa pod for fun so any help beating my friend up the strip will most usefull.
Thank you very much! :'(

I've had on on my engine for 5 years, and at the last rebuild, showed pratically no wear ( that's 30k miles )
but at worst, fit a duplex...

keeping on the duplex thread, how many countersunk screws are required? I know people grind them flat, but ive bought 2 countersunk ones with my order. is that enough?
Yes... don't forget to countersink the timing plate
