Just getting ready to fit my servo with master cylinder and I would like to clarify what brake pipe goes to what. Looking at the brake pressure regulator, looking on the top, does the right hand side connect to the rear of master cylinder and the left hand side of the regulator to the front nearest the grill?

I have just fitted my twin carbs and I wanted to know do you join the two carbs together in the middle for the breather as these were blocked off when I got the carbs, I will get some pictures up to help clarify later.

Where is the best spot to fix the earth strap to the engine and body.

you described it correctly, i wont repeat but yes you're right as far as i am aware. and for joining he breather raid an mg metro. it has a y-piece for joining the 2 engine breathers to the single carb, if u have 2 breathers use 2 y-pieces

join them breathers up as they help to balance the carbs. ideally they should have a Tpiece and the breather going out to one of the engine breathers.

I think the middle spring is in the right place

 lol, was going to say that valve looks somewhat wrong, hehe. that spring looks like its in the ight place, to get the cap over the nut i'd use vaseline as it will help to seal the connections in there but honestly do u want to tuck it away?? if u have to get it off again and the rubber has hardened how easy do u think it will be?? most minis i've seen look the same way yours does at the mo.

nice lookin project by the way.
