Hi

Our open classic is still not 100% on tickover when cold. Cleaned the carb, new airfilter, plugs, tappets ok etc. Gonna change the dizzy cap rotor and leads (though i suspect these would cause problems when hot too) but for £20 they could do with changing anyway.

Just been reading the haynes manual, ours has the charcoal canister thingy for vapours from the fuel tank. In the system description it mentions the system only comes when normal operating temperature is reached "to ensure the engine runs correctly when cold". Are problems with the canister and its valves etc common/uncommon, could it be causing my problems.

thanks

Gary
