hi i replaced the front bearings on my mini (disc brakes) , when i had finished i found out the bearing kit i was sold was for front drum brakes, although they look the same size, does anyone know if this will cause a problem once i get the car back on the road?

nope, but they'll probably end up lasting longer than the timken ones in my experience.
