My project will be quite a lengthy one as i'm on a small budget as i'm 13 but i'm taking it slow. It's a 1972 Mini 1000, which has no engine, but i can get one when i need it w/transmission. The pics attached are quite old, it's now almost fully stripped and ready for bodywork which i'm happy to say is going to be done (in part) by my neighbour's high school for free! It is going to be a learn-to-everything! project which i'm hoping that will be white with a black roof, with black arches and chrome bumpers and grille. I'm hoping to make it quite classic with maybe a black interior, but i'm going to do whatever money allows. Any comments are appreciated.

More youngsters should get in to this sort a thing. I live right smack dab in the middle of Brum and most 13 years olds round here are weeing in telephone boxes or stealing car stereos >:D

Your parents should be dead proud of ya. DOing something productive and spending your time and money wisely. This will be ace when its finsihed. A proper achievement and i cant wait to see it!!! Good on ya!!!!

Flippin eck, im only 25 and im sounding 52 :)

No real updates yet, I'm going to take out the fuel tank and glass soon, adn thanks for all the compliments. I'll give you someinsight on how i want to interior to turn out. I like the Newton Commercial bucket seats, maybe in grey and gold brocade, as they don't seem to have a headrest but i believe they are high back so you have a built in headrest. I might be putting a Beans Japan bodykit on it (www.beans-japan.com), when the car is done. they also have some neat checkered carpets that look interesting. All depends on when i get it done and what kind of money I have. I am lucky enough to have a neighbour who works at a high school that is interested on doing some of the bodywork on the car for free. I thought that is fantastic, it will take a while but it gives me time to save money for other parts. Cheers :withstupid:

Those are the wonders of the Canadian Mini. I am removing them and gettign the holes welded up. I believe they are quite ugly, but i am lucky as some Canadian minis had large black bumpers higher than the nice chrome bumpers.Mine is also L/H drive because I'm in Canada.

I'm thinking of doing it as a classic racer, but with a twist. I liek the Beans Japan bodykit because it keeps the bumpers (see it at beans-japan.com) adn doign it then white w/black roof and arches. The shop i work at is run by a man who has 2 minis of his own, and another mini owner works down the road lol thats probably the most minis in one square mile in Canada! :withstupid: it's going to be trad, but i want it to be my own so no original copys here. I'm trying to fien some cheaper wheels to put on it but not 8 spokers because there are too many even out here.any ideas r great.
