hi i have a mini 1000 with a two clock dash how easy is it to install a 3 clock dash and what extra gear will i need to set it up?

from memory you'll need, the 3 clock pod with circuit board, new clock mount as teh one you have now is too small and a couple of wires!

Someone once told me the wiring for the third clock is already there, its just a case of getting the new pod and plugging it in. Don't know how true this is but i will find out fairly soon.

The wiring is there, I (eventually) found it. There is a little white wire with a black stripe down it for the rev counter on my 88/89 City.

not all minis had it in the loom, depends n the age but all after '84 should have it there. be carefull there are 2 types of 3 clock dash, the very early ones have 2 bullet connectors and 1 spade in the back of the rev counter not 1 of each and they are wired up differently. i think its original cooper and 1275 gt clocks that did that and there have been plenty different since then.
