hmm i havent decided if i'm going yet but if i do go i may camp, still need to get kitted out with a tent and sleeping bag, could be useful, came to that conclusion all by myself :D though depending on how long it takes to get to crystal palace from uni...i may sleep in a comfy bed!

It was my first one last year and the rain made it bloody miserable. But Camping, well pitching the tent and buggering off to the pub for burgers and beer, was the best bit!

The cars start to line up at 4AM on the Sunday, and by 6 there's thousands in the queue. However, some members of my local club have been driving up on the Sunday and parking outside Crystal Palace... and they always get to Brighton before me! :D

After around 6AM they won't let you into the grounds with your car anyway, but you can park outside, walk in to get your run pack, and be ready to leave around 8.

The 'Driver's Briefing' is usually around 7:45 IIRC, and the run packs are handed out around 6:30.

Last year they had a marshall co-ordinate the cars parked outside with the ones inside.

Biggav, I'd recommend camping! Like Tipcat says, if you aint at the front of the queue, theres thousands in front of you. Last year I was in the 3rd line and it took us 1/2 an hour to get out. This year, I'll be sleeping in the car again probably, as I dont really fancy packing a wet tent up at 4 in the morning. Its still an experience not to be missed though! And pack plenty of red bull for the drive home. Its a long 'ol day!
