Evening,

Well got my order of parts (ball joint bits, few little buit for the rad and timing chain) for El Gordo and I'm off to go stip her down today then build her back up tommrow. When I last did the timing chan tho I could not get the woodruff key out of the crank.

How on earth do you do it?!?

It baffles me so.

Ta chaps/lady's/alien life forms of unknown gender/ghosts/asexual creatures.

You should not need to remove the key, the cog should just slide over it..

Ah..

Well in that case... when the timing cog is off, gently tap one end with a hammer on the top and it should pop out the other.. ( using a fine pointed screwdriver to lever it can also help )

did try that. not alot of room to swing a hammer as the engine is still in the car. Oh well I'll give it another try.
