hi how much roughly would it cost for me to have a new engine fitted?? labour costs only??

About a year ago ( i know thats not that recent) John Speed Mini's quoted me 200 pounds. So with that in mind I had a go at doing it myself. Its really not that hard to do if you have something to lift the engine with and im sure you could get something for less than 200 pounds. The hardest bit I found was getting the roll pin out that connects the gear leveler to the gearbox. It did take me just over a day to take the old one out and new one in though.

About 200-300 pounds. If your you might get it cheaper

Sorry, totally unhelpful but you know how us oldies like to reminisce ... I found a garage bill from 1974 the other day for supplying and fitting a Gold Seal (factory guaranteed, I think) replacement engine for my 1959 Morris Minor ....
