Tubbing the rear

Does anybody have any info or pictures for tubbing the rear of the mini to run the car lower??

so in simple terms what the hell is tubbing?

I believe the term comes from having to put tubbs in to replace the inner arches, but basically, you can only go so low at the back with a mini because of the shape of the inner wheel arch and the joint with the rear quarter panel..

In the above examples, the inner arch is cut at the top of the 'tubb' and instead of it then going down to meet the quarter panel the quarter panel is cut to match this profile, and a straight (flat) piece of steel is welded in to replace the arch, this means you can lower the back end an inch or so more before the wheel starts hitting the arch again...

Some extreem examples have replaced the inner arch completely with larger 'tubbs'

Not too low, Just bought some Hi-Lo's and wanted to lower it around a 1 - 1 1/2"

Just wanted to be sure it was not going to rub as I got my new wheels today.

Any advice/comments welcome
