a mate of mine had a cavalier once and the previous owner split the ignition wire through a discreet switch at the back of the glovebox. The switch had to be on before the power would get to the ignition barrell... bt, he wasn't told this by the guy he bought it off, drove the car for a few weeks trouble free, until he put a cd wallett in the glovebox one day and then the car wouldn't start.
Took the AA an hour to figure out about that tiny switch
this si what i was going to do but one thing worries me is will this still work if i have a immobiliser its wont stop that from working will it.
so in my case i would need to turn immobilser off and switch the switch on in order to drive my car.
i was thinking of this because immobilsers are great but if someone has my keys im buggered
