Hi
i recentlly had my throttle cable snap, so on the path to fixing it i noticed that when i rev the engine smoke comes out of the heater hose where the heater adjustment is, i know my dad changed something so the engine heated up quicker, was just checking this isn't something major...

Is it definately smoke? As opposed to Steam? What did your dad do and if it is smoke, i would say it was something potentially major.

You would smell smoke! Its probably just steam, there could be a leak under load onto the exhaust manifold perhaps. But get your head under the bonnet when running and check for any water leaks or anything that maybe burning..

the Y piece manifold is loose i have a DTM exhaust and it got ripped of by sppeed bumps at college and since it has never wanted to stay tight i put aluminium sleeves on the Y piece to tighten the clamps but it is still loose would this cause this smoke? and there is a minor leak in my rad in the bottom back corner
