I've just got off the phone to Quaife, who explained to me that you don't need anything else from them to use one of their ATB diffs. So you can use standard gears, standard crownwheel, standard outputs etc. You just strip the box, unbolt the crownwheel from your standard diff and bolt it to the Quaife item then put it all back together again!

I thought it would have been like that when they say its for a production car.
So are you going to get one?

Erm, I've thought about the ATB, but was really put off when someone said you had to use a Quaife crownwheel and outputs! So last week I bought a Honda box with LSD for £360.
As for driveshafts, not sure yet. Was thinking about contacting Carl Austin about that. Hmmmm, Titianium! Doubt my budget will stretch that far though. You got any leads on who can make driveshafts?

Allspeed as far as i know they make there own, (approx £400)
Quaife, £500 for a pair.
I guess most engineers should be able to make you some if you can take some youve welded that they can measure.

Yea, as I thought, I was thinking about getting the Allspeed ones, as I believe they suit standard mini track, which my Vtec should have! Guess it depends on the placement of the engine too though. Want them to be one peice though, just don't trust welded ones, and think they'd be heavier than one peice.

Think it may just be worth pointing out, just if no-ones reading the forum section.... the MINI Gearbox ATB does need n LSD style machined crownwheel, and output shafts too.... well that's if their technical drawing is correct

Meh, I know it's just me being pedantic, but I hate drawings with errors on them, they can't even spell 'original'!!!!

Yes, The Integra Type Rs, and certain Jap Sir's I believe. It may of been an optional extra as well, but not sure on that. It will have LSD stamped on the gearbox casing.Did any of the B series Hondas come with an LSD as standard?
