I’m wiring up my 90 mini it has the pink resistive wire. This gets VERY not after a wile. The coil says 12v standard I was given this from a large mini supplier when I asked for the one for a resistive coil loom but after looking into it my self surly I need a ballast coil. could I just take out the restive wire and replace with normal wire or should I change the coil?

many thanks tom

also what is the factory mix settings for a 998 metro carb?

If you're using a non-balast coil, just take an ordinary wire from the fuse box to the coil, replacing the pink wire. Yes running a 12v coil with a ballast wire will melt it, and the rest of the loom with it..

yeave the loom asis, there may actually be a white wire there dangling around which you can just swap over ( some looms had both )
