i've recently discovered a leak in my mini its seems to be dripping down from some where above the clutch peddle area. its not the heater matrix leaking. does any one know where this water is coming from??

You sure it isn't clutch fluid leaking from the m/c, I had exactly this problem a few weeks ago, a very slow drip, but it rotted the paint fairly quickly!!

its pretty much constant dripping and this is leaving a very big puddle in my foot well. and it has been raining.

Might be worth getting your windscreen seal replaced/refitted with fresh sealant and then take it from there.
