Hi, I'm rebuilding my mini with a 1.3 turbo engine, but I've now been offered a weslake engine and 8 port head. What route would be the best to take??

buy the head......BUY THE HEAD.

even if you don't use it, it will fetch a pretty penny.

its not just the head its the whole engine. fully rebuilt by weslake heritage.

i like to get a second opion. its still being built at the moment. I'll just have to get another car for the turbo!

do both, be a bit tricky doing a turbo 8 port but I've seen it done.....hell seen it done on a 997!

Just need one of them chanber jobbies then someone to set it all up. Mean alot of custom pipe work tho.

don't you dare put a turbo on a heratige westlake motor - you put that motor in an early mini, with 4 huge ram pipes hanging out the bonnet and on 10's - a proper retro racer

Their wont be an fillters out the bonnet, as the carbs are on the back of the head.

How the cheesey bagel does that work then. Most 8 or 7 port....well all that I've seen have the carbs on the front exhaust on the back.
