Only one i've seen similar to that is the head that was on the green P&L racer mini - its been on ebay a few times. Its got a 7 port head with the inlets at the back. If you imagine a pair of webers on a stubby 'Y' piece going into the standard inlets on a 5 port - thats what it looked like - i'll see if i can find a pic.........

... ta da.....

What head you going to go for? Check out Weslake, their having some made. After all they did design the original.

If its really that much it sounds like it might be cheaper for someone else to build you an 8 port. I estimate the cost of an 8 port, built, to be between 6-13k, depending on the spec.

Yeah, any decent specialist build is gonna be in that region. Unless you do a load of the work yourself.

8 ports don't come cheap, but they're a nice bit of old skool tuning heritage I reckon.

I'd love to do an 8 port, short stroked 1275 based unit, something real revvy.

Never seen an 8 port close up, but apparently one of our local milkmen has one tucked away that he won't part with for love nor money!

I know its not from your garage because it belongs to a close friend of mine. You would not beleive the amount of work that has gone into that engine or just how rare the components are.....the slide throttle for example is a handmade reproduction of the original.
