Yesterday my mini failed its MOT on a corroded brake union. Its the bolt(?) on the n/s front that connects the copper pipe (running around the subframe), bolting through the subframe and connecting to the flexible hose leading to the caliper. I cant seem to find the part in minispares and was wondering if someone could enlighten me as to which part/parts i need!

That is the pipe that runs from side to side across the front. If it's the union you're after it's like a brass T-piece.

What age car is it for?

aaaah hang on, if it's the N/S there aint no union, that's on the O/S

There is a copper pipe (as the one you have shown) and then there is the flexi-pipe that goes to the caliper. You need to know which bit is corroded. If it's the bit that passes through the subframe (like a 7/8" nut on the end of the pipe, with a starred lock-washer under it, then you need a new flexi-pipe. If it's the little 11mm brake pipe nut that is fixed to the brake pipe, then you need the part you showed above.
