I have looked everywhere but i cant find the answer anywhere. I was trying to find a walkthrough on how to fit a fiberglass/Carbon fiber flip front but i cant find one anywhere that shows how you fit the hinges to the flip front. So i was hoping that someone would tell me how you do this and if they have any pics or anything.

So far i have worked out that you have to drill the subby and mount the smaller part of the hinge but how do i join the other part to the CF flip front?

Thanks :P:D that link helps alot with the whole fitting of the flip front process, but it doesnt say how the hinges are mounted, but i looked closely at some of the pics and by the looks of it, it have got the heads of the bolts exposed when you look at it from the front.

those pins are bonnet pins. can get them anywhere.

people fit these into a hole or a drilled hole on the front flat edge of the subframe. they then use deuz fastners on the a panel area to make a removeable front.

when i did mine, i put a bolt through the front and tack'd some hinges onto the subframe, but it was a pain to line up. Make it removable rather then flip, i say.

they dont look like pins to me. it looks like two bolt heads on either side but i could be wrong. i might go down the pins idea then, as i already have about 4 pairs lol. But i dont think that the little pin plate thingly would look very nice at the bottom of the front end. :P

Are you fitting a one or two piece front ? If it's the latter then don't mess around with hinges and just make it removable !!!!

I'd use pan-head bolts with nylock nuts on... discreet and can be painted.... also put a whopping great washer behind the front to spread the force of the bolt.
