that one in the link is a huddersfield spares one. i am unfortunately running a huddersfield one, it has yet to be tested (car still not road worthy) but to be honest it does feel fairly rhobust, well considering its carrying sod all of the minis weight it doesn't really need to be over engineered.

The Huddersfield beam has had a really bad rep in the past... the older ones were to be honest appalling and deserve the bad reputation!! the newer beams he now sells are indeed of a greatly improved disign... extra bracing has been added to stop the things snaping! I have one here with me at present and have no problem fitting one of the new disign ones to my mini!

I've had a F***ing nightmare with my coilovers.... Minispares beam axle is great but the offset coil overs are not offset enough and the coils are rubbing the inner arches

Do what the A-Team do, get some box section, sheet steel and a MIG welder.

No but it would be nice if it was engineered just a little bit.

Miglia type? Is that as in for Miglia racers rather than a road car? Have you ever seen in the back of a Miglia? They take out an awful lot of steel to build one of those.....

NO I DUCKING FON'T!!!!!

I have the Mini Spares Spax Adjustables with the offset top... the offset brings the top of the spring out but the bottom is catching the down facing seam at the bottom of the turret indent... i thought about bashing it bit a big hammer... but there were proffesionals near by :withstupid: so they're being tubbed out. the rea wheels are toe in, so the outer radius brackets need shimming which will bring the spring even more inboard!!!

The lower bracket on the front shocks don't let it go low enough (i was warned about this) as they catch the subframe so they are modding the subframe too.

i have/had the huddersfield spares one on mine with the gaz coilovers for 6 months and it was totally fine, i had a bit of rubbing in the inner arches but apart from the its been great, no snaps, cracks etc. it just wasnt for me as it was a little bumpy for the roads i was going on. dont know what all the fuss is about!

are they only offset at the top? my gaz ones are offset at the top and the bottom.

i dont understand what you mean about the catching because bottom mounts? are these from minispares too?
