i currently have 12x4.5 minilites on with 165/60/12 sime tyres on

im looking to get 12x6 superlitghts with 165/55/12 a048r yokos

it says the new wheels will rub but the tyres are the same width and the old ones are fine...

will it be a problem?

Who/what says they will rub? It's not all about the size of the tyres. The inset of each particular make of wheel is what will make some rub and some not. There are other things to take into consideration too, like the condition of all your suspension components etc. Wheels/tyres which are fine on one mini may rub on yours. The only way to find out is to try them.

the book ther advertised in says body mods needed,

suspension is all new on 'stiffish' set avo dampers

You might find they fit no problem, or you may have to fit rear (thin) spacers and longer wheel studs to stop the rear tyres rubbing.

Just keep the current wheels. They are a much better size anyway !
