yeah i gather the rust will notice but i would of thought that blackis very very hard to get all equally shinny where as white you wouldn't notice as much as it doesn't reflect as much??

As A Rule, White Is A More Forgiving Colour, Where As Black Is The Least Forgiving Where Dents/Scratches. Also You Have To Keep It Cleaned...

remember tho...if ur exhaust kicks carbon out it will stick on the back of your mini! and the only way i found or removing it is to vigoursly t-cut it! and takes ages and alot of effort

interesting, i found a dab of white spirit on a kitchen towel bought it straight off when i was blowing out the exhaust (of course you have to make sure the paint you have isn't gonna go soft with white spirit. lucky... not many modern ones will these days)

White hides the imperfections yes.... but it'll still look arse if you don't spend time on prep. just do it properly and you'll have a great job mate  instead of something you wish you'd done better.
