some of the builds on that web site are mind blowing... loads of nice pics on there but still not 100% sure on how it works exactly.
http://www.superfast...photos_page.htm
the front end slides forward on the hinge with a slight up and down movement then once forward the lifters then raise the front end up.
what stops the lifters rising up while the front end slides forwards or is it meant to rise up as well has come forward?
how do you lock the front end down?
i can understand the locking parts on the A piller but what about the front end? along the front its self? i cant see any fixing clips on any of the pics ive seen of this conversion
is any of it spring loaded? so you remove the front end holding down clips and it opens up own? or does it only open when you pull the front end forward?
MT FF Hinge Kit #130300 = $176.00 ( converts to £91.22080 so basicly £91.30p is that correct?)

anyone interested in a group buy of those superfast minis brackets. Could be as cheap as £100 each if theres say 4 or 5 of us.
The price on their site has gone down to $167 now, and considering the Dollar is so weak at the moment it means they're only a tad over 80 quid now anyway!

Hi all,
I thought I'd revive this topic rather than start up a new one on the same subject. I'm in the process of fitting a carbon fibre front on my mini, and fancy some of those hinge brackets that have been mentionned earlier in the post. My only problem is my brace bars. It looks like my brace bars are bolted right across where the hinge linkage moves. I fancy these because they look dead tidy but don't want them fouling the brace bar every time they are moved.
I have thought that a potential way around this to get more clearance is some longer bolts and some spacers, but don't want to chance spending £100 on some hinges that won't work. Anybody have any ideas?
Jetblick, is i possible to measure the clearance between the hinge linkage and the inner wing for me to see if it will cause me problems??

those brackets are what I went for for my project. They are a really good fit and do the job lovely! I also bought the latch lock as well so the install is really neat and tidy! Just be carefull if you have coil overs fitted like me the mounting bracket has to be modified to fit those hinges!

And I see you have the brace bars there as well matrix. Do the hinges foul them? If not is there much clearance. I might have to place an order for these!
I won't be using coilovers so hopefully it'll be more straightforward.
