right my problem is that i am getting the right voltage to the unit but is does not flash only the lights turn on (it ticked loads once with no lights after 10 mins of engine running), so i was wondering of anyone knows of electronic flasher units that can be used instead of the bimettalic ones as i belive this should solve the problem
is there a elecetronic flasher unit?

I assume you mean for indicators, i have also wondered about this but not got round to searching

yes there is!!
Yo can get them from most accesory shops
just make sure you get the one with the appropriate no off spades on it.
