I've been browsing the forum for a few months now, and posted a few times, but never started a topic about my car. But here goes

Kiki started off like this as a mot failure and was brought to do up, she was then stripped down and sold as parts. I had the rolling shell to turn into a trailer, but could face chopping her up as she wasnt in such great condition... So the rebuild begins

Mot day (passed with flying colours)

New genuine S/S bumpers



Decided to fit a safety devices rear cage







Tarted up rocker cover and fuel tank

Engine rebuild (due to it playing my up with a dadgey second gear, and a worn out cam chain)



































Went mad and powdercoated lots of bits off the engine



Lots of gearbox bits



The rebuilt box (new bearings, bualkrings, seals, rebuilt diff, minispares competition diff pin)

Engine is running well now done 1100 miles, really need to get it booked in to be tuned up.

pressed steel rockers
double valve springs
kent 567 cam
minisport inlet manifold
minispares coope freeflow exhaust with rc40 box
Fully rebuilt SU HS4 carb
K+N filter
Aldon 100AYP distributor with lumenition kit fitted (standard lucas coil)



New seats



New charcoal dash



New grille and lamps



New head lamp surrounds

Had a few teething probmlems at first but these were soon rectifided with some more new shiny parts



Also had to fit a new alternator after it burnt out 3 coils

Decide to refurb the wheels









Thats two done, just need to polish the rims up. Also had some new a539s fitted whilst they were off the car
