I got mine given to me from a client, its not a mini roof rack its a normal one which fits any car from the 80`s with a gutter...will be painting it sooon or get it chromed...

slowed my car down though...

It has 4 rubber cups which sit on the roof (1 in each corner), and there is a metal 'strap' on each side which hooks under the gutter. This is tightened by doing up a bolt - seems to work pretty well. These roofracks are not quite like the rally ones, but similar in style...I think the fixing method is the same too.

Did you notice my links with pics of your car by the way?

yes i did thank you very much. there's a poll about what you think i should do in regards to evil eyes/roof racks in mini chat if your interested. ur pics are the options! both are removable which is nice. EDIT: that means i have to drill a hole in each corner for the bolt? but only in the gutter right? thanks

Nope, no modifications required for the roofrack, it simply sits on the roof on rubber cups, and the side 'straps' keep it down by tightening against the gutter (you use self-adhesive rubber strips to stop this damaging your paint).
