My mini failed its MOT yesterday on a couple of minor things but the strangest being that myheadlights have no pattern, they are just giving to round spots. I am still on the old sealed beam units. Has anybody experienced this because I find it a little odd due to the fact that the lenses are patterned.

Yeah, failed a few on it myself in the past. You could have reflector problems inside the sealed beam units I guess???

You've got two options really. Go for a new pair of sealed beam units, or go for a H4 Halogen conversion. I'd personally opt for the latter, as you'll get a noticeable increase in lighting, for not that much extra work or extra moolar.

:D Good advice, makes a massive difference for very little compromise on authenticity!!
