hi just been looking through a pile of junk i had for free with my mini and found a head i know its been converted to unleaded as i can see those inserts they put in but just want to know what type of head it is and what engine it is for the markings are cam1046 any info much apreciated?

oh also i found a set of rockers i dont know what they are but they had kieth dodd written on the side of them info on them would help also.

IIRC quite a few of the heads have CAM1046 written on them, there should be another number on it such as 12G940 or 12G295 etc etc.

If you sent a piccy of the rockers to Keith Dodd he would probably be able to identify them for you

so is keith dodd a well known name or just standard ones?

Keith Dodd is a respectable engine builder/tuner. He is often in one of the mags doing work on some of the staff cars.

ML Motorsport in Kent is 'the' place to take your mini if you live in that area.

I dont think Keith is a member on here but he is on Minifinity and is quite active on the forums over there.

I'm pretty sure his username is AC Dodd over there (I think some people call him this as well)

Put it this way, if you put those on fleabay you would probably get a pretty penny for them with that name on them

cool i had them free with a stage 2 tuned 12g295 head i bought for £65 now i know theyre by a well known tuning bloke im chuffed to bits.

I think you mean Keith Calver. Keith Dodd is the MD at Minispares. AC Dodd is someone else entirely!

Always get those too mixed up but I always thought that AC Dodd and one of the others was the same person though

Still if he's the MD at Minispares then its still got a respectable Mini persons name on them

so then is that to much to put on my 998? im putting a 12g295 stage 2 tuned head sw5-07 cam hs4 carb and other things which i cant remember. just to add thats not a mirror in the background just a whole load of trophys.

yep, too much for a 998. Too much overlap time. UNLESS you have a cam custom made to suit the rockers.
