Right then.
I want to take off the carb. would it be easyer by taking the inlet manifold off, which will take the whole lot off inc the carb.. would that work ?
Plus in the pic, would the petrol come flooding out.
Thanks

hello mate. easiest to take the carb, manifold and plenum chamber off in one. one my turbo inlet, the manifold can lift upwards after only slackenening the manifold bolts. You may need to clamp up the fuel inlet pipe if the tank is anywhere near full, or plug the end with something.
dont turn the ignition on tho, as i your electric fuel pump will empty the tank in your engine bay!

easiest way to take the carb of you wil need
a pair of pliers
an old 1/4 bolt
2 7/16 spanners
1/2 spanner
and a 1/4 spanner

remove the air filter
remove the vacum hose and the engine breathr hose
undo the choke cable and retain the locking mechanism
undo the acc cable with the two spanners
remove the fuel pipe from the float chamber
but the bolt in the pipe to stop it coming out
undo the 2 nuts and remove the carb from the car

simple
