Which would be nice to have driving at night.

No gauge lights at all, no side lights, no reverse and no oil light either.

Oh and the interior light above door dont work either.

Previous owner bodged lights to work, and i dont know how they did it.

Fuse in engine bay or interior?

Bottom fuse of the fuse box is for lights. So you'll have to trace it from there.

am having problems with my gauge lights...turns out the printed circuit board is faulty.
if you have no sidelights, then you will have no gauge lights, the gauge lights come on because of the sidelights, there should be an inline fuse on your bulkhead under the bonnet, somewhere close to the wiper motor, the wires you are looking for are a red one connected to a green and red one.
i know this as my sidelights didn't work till i decided to put a fuse in the fuse holder lol.
and the interior light is on a purple/white wire circuit

You can find a full list of all the fuses and in-line fuses (and their colours) here:-

Mini Fuse Link

But if only one side-light is working then it could be due to a bad connection, so check the bullet connectors behind the grille.

Here's a list of the related wire colours there so you'll know which one to look out for:-

Earth is the Black wires
Sidelights are Red/Red with Green
Headlights are thick Blue with Red
Main Beam thick Blue with White

As for gauges and interior light, checked fuses and all aok

Hmmmmmmmmmmm

Do your hazard warning lights work? Because their on the same in-line fuse circuit. If they do work then check the actual door mounted interior light switches. Simply unscrew the little screw that holds them in place and clean up the rear contacts. Spray a little WD40 over the backs if you want and then refit and see if they work then, because a dodgy connection will prevent them from working.

As for the gauges themselves, well it's worth checking the fuse box again and just because the fuses appear okay doesn't mean all is well and there could be a bad connection on some of the spade connectors. Clean the rear of the fuse box and if your still in doubt, then replace it because their not expensive.

Do your windscreen wipers work effeciently and park themselves too? If you have to play park the wipers every time then replace the wiper motor park-switch, because when that fails it can and does cause a short circuit which can either cause fuses to blow or gauges to misread and that could be what your experiencing perhaps?
