when did they replace the 10 inch wheels?

I`m looking for another mini,owned a few in my youth ,but now into vw`s
last mini i had was a 1400cc one with twin tanks and a noisey weber carb.
anyway I fancy a reasonbly bog standard mini,but prefer the 10 inch wheels
when did they ungrade to 12/13 ones,so I know what years to go for.

I think it was when they went over to disk brakes as standard, so 1984. Not certain though.

They first changed over to 12” wheels with 8.4” disk brakes on the 25 in 84, With 85 being the change over year which all minis got 12”wheels and the disk brakes.

you still can convert back any mini to 10's isnt it
providing you have the correct brakes set up to clear the rims
