Right.

...how to put this.....hmm.....ah!

HOW IN THE NAME OF ALL THINGS CHEESE BASED DO YOU GET A SPANNER ROUND THE TOP BRAKE ADJUSTER!

I can't do it. I keep trying to get the square spanner round it and it won't go (this is on the front drums by the way). The top arm steering bit is in the way.

How do I do it?

try a open ended spanner with plenty of penetrating fluid or use a blow torch to heat it up.
if and when you get it to move take the adjuster out and give it a good clean then reassemble with copper grease. i could never get the square spanner over the adjuster myself this is the method i used

Oooooow.

Did try and open-ended spanner but it would not budge. I'll give it a go with some WD40. Can shift the other adjuster no problem just not the top adjuster.

Get some 'Penetrating' oil, 3 in 1 make a good one. WD40 does have some penetrating ability but it is mainly for displacing moisture, soak in penetrating oil, leave for 30 mins, soak again and leave for a bit and try again, you have to give the oil time to work.

I found 7.5" inch S disks solved this and other problems.
