Sorry for the vagueness on this!

Well about a month ago i noticed a kind of thudding noise sometimes when i changed gear around the dashboad/steering column, but i got used to it and forgot about it, now today its got alot worse! basically when i change speed it does it, changing gears always does it and a bumpy road makes it do it like crazy!

As far as i figure its just something loose like the clocks aren't held tight or something but it doesnt seem to be that! could it be something bad or is it most likely something just hitting something else?

Is it like a low 'clunk' or more of a tinny rattle?

How have you tested the engine mountings? Get someone to blip the accelerator while you watch to see if the the engine rocks (er, in neutral).

Rocking it with your hands isn't enough... An engine has way more power to try and move itself compared to a human... You need to check engine mounts whilst someone blips the throttle for you.
