I always thought it was, but apparently alot of people class it as a different place

Nah i have a friend who lives in stoke and she just says she lives in aylesbury

Yea Stoke Mandeville is pretty much part of Aylesbury I'd say. As is Watermead, that annoys me so much the snobbiness of so many of the people who live there, who think it's some exclusive village!

Imagine their horror when I moved into one of their lovely townhouses 3 years ago with 3 mates
Oh how we lowered the tone, the neighbours hated the fact there was a house full of young people and that we all had cars (shock!) which we parked on the road... near their houses! How very dare we

I only lived there a year, but the house is still rented out to sharers since we lived there (owners realised they get more money that way) and the houses either side have been put on the market

Anyway, ahem, rant over!

P'raps we should have a local meet as there's a few of us?

i had the "pleasure" of goin to Stoke Mandeville school.. it was always classed as Aylesbury.. meet sounds mint tho but my mini not exactly road legal.. so ill have to come in my bad boy escort

ive seen that one pass by my house before, youngish guy with black hair was driving it.

Mine's road legal but is STILL spraying water and we don't really know where from, it's devasating it means I'm scared to take it anywhere in case something goes horribly wrong

But I can go locally in it! We should get together some time

And that is....

We thought it was the top hose, well no there WAS water coming from one end of the top hose as the rubber had perished, but we replaced that and it's spraying from somewhere else too, it gets through the gap in the bonnet and hits the windscreen too

Thing is it only does it when driving when it's warmed up so we can't get a chance to check it out, all I know is the engine is clean before I go out and there's orange water on it when I get home

And I can't really afford garage rates to find out what the problem is, dad reckons maybe a small split in the radiator which could be taped up (the cooling system was taped in my old car too lol) but until we can find the source we can't fix it sob

by-pass hose is the tiny pain in the butt hose that always split.. its between the head and water pump.. lookin into the engine bay its near the radiator..

I'll have a look today I'll take it for a drive to warm it up (it doesn't spray til it's warmed up) then have a look-see. I'll try get the engine clean before I go too that way I should be able to narrow it down! I hope it's something as simple as a hose and not something more serious

On another note does anybody know the bloke who's got a red mini, black arches, rollcage in Wendover? He works in the Red Rose garage (Wendover Motor Spares) and I think possibly lives in Lionel Avenue (seen either that car or its twin parked there often)

He on here? Or any of the forums? Thinking I might flyer his car if not

yeah i'm in wingrave little village just outside of Aylesbury.. and i got a mate who lives near who has a silver mayfair thats been tarted up a bit... was thinking either we can all start goin bmc.. and make it cool .. or just meet everynow and again... maybe with other people i know? a lot of my mates are into their cars.. we can show them how its done... B)

Update on spraying water - it's STILL coming from the end of the top hose! Despite having a brand new top hose and clips which are done up very tight! I think there must be a split in the radiator where the top hose gets clipped on

Saw 2 minis today, both waved

Jim I agree we should meet up - dunno about Bucks Mini Club as the meets are pretty far out from Aylesbury, which seems silly, since it's the county town isn't it? But local meets for sure, I'd be up for that

lucky for you water is on the outside.. with this lovely winter weather somehow im getting a puddle in the drivers footwell, checked everywhere near front cant see any leaks on seals or holes from rust.. yet still my feet splash when i put my foot down.... whereabouts in AY are you now? do you know anyone else who'd be interested in a meet that is young (or at least not boring)
