just over a month ago my clutch stopped working as in the pedal went solid. most people that replied to me then, sugested a hydraulic problem and so i fitted new master and slave cylinders and a new one piece hose between the two.
I thought i had cured it , as it has been ok ish for the last few weeks but now its gone again.
Amongst the receipts i got when i bought the car there is one for a clutch fitted in Jan 06. Its a carb cooper with verto clutch.
Has anyone come accross it before ? does it sound like its the clutch and what do i look for when i get into it.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks Alan , i`ll give that a go . From what ive heard the clutch is not a simple job , but i`ve bought a flywheel puller incase i have to tackle it.It could also be that the clutch input shaft (the one with the big nuts on) has seized up, try some W40 & the grease.

First thing to check is, is the clutch arm under load from the slave (ie there's hydralic pressure), if not then ignore the hydraulics...
If it is, then release the pressure by undoing the slave bleed nipple (fluid may spurt out)... tighten the nipple and then go press the clutch pedal repeatedly, if it goes hard and stops moving, it's the master which is not letting the built up pressure back into the resevoir.... or there is not enough pressure in the clutch spring to push it back...
Are the throw-out stop nuts wound in preventing the arm from moving..
