Bill rebuilt my 1425 once, had new rings, a few new synchros in the box, new gaskets of course, but no new cams, followers, etc. I asked about running it in, he said just take it easy for a week or so and thats about it!

i used to work near a place that raced yamaha race bikes the guy there used to build the engine then blow it up then rebuild it he reckoned theblock was worn o=in enough then, i used togo watch ,it was funny.........
ive only ever really run my turbos in for about 500 miles with regular oil changes it was fine...then drove it easy for a while but over 3500 rpm or it was undrivable any way
