Hi My name is Dave I'm from edinburgh but currently drive a ford focus but looking in to get a mini in the next few months as a commuting car if I have to move away from edinburgh to save money on petrol. I'm 23 years old and thought I would say hi.

Looking to get a mini from about 1994.

Thanks for the welcome guys, i have always liked the old mini and there is a few about where I work. My current car is not great for fuel with me doing a couple hundred of miles driving a week, going to and from my girlfriends parents 20 miles away and to work each day, so looking for something small, good on petrol and has a bit of style about it and the mini fits my bill, just trying to find a good un the now.

welcome Dave,

Beware, travelling in excess of 200 miles a week might take its toll on a poor little mini.
Go for one with 12" wheels as these seem a good all round wheel for everyday use.
I had 13" wheels on mine travelling around 300miles a week and to be honest it was a nightmare!
Ball joints would wear and wheel bearings would get knackered every 6 months or so.
